What is Indexing?
Indexing is the process of reading document contents and organizing them into a quickly searchable format. It’s similar to creating an index for a book.Wissly’s Indexing Process
Sync and Automatic Updates
Indexing doesn’t happen just once. Wissly continuously monitors connected folders.| Change Type | Wissly Action |
|---|---|
| File Added | Automatically indexes new documents |
| File Modified | Updates the index for changed documents |
| File Deleted | Removes from the index |
This process happens automatically in the background, so there’s no need to manually click “refresh.”
Checking Indexing Status
You can check the indexing status of each folder in the Folder Management screen.| Status | Meaning |
