If you’ve connected a folder but documents aren’t being found or indexing errors occur, check the following.

1. Indexing Still in Progress

Check progress status in Folder List. Processing may take longer for large documents.

2. Unsupported File Format

Supported formats: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HWP, text filesUnsupported formats are not indexed.

3. Corrupted File

Try opening the file in another program to verify it’s not corrupted. Corrupted files cannot be indexed.

4. Password-Protected File

Password-protected documents cannot be read and are not indexed.

Check Error Details

Click the error indicator in Folder List to see details.

Take Action by Cause

Check the error cause for each file and take appropriate action.

Symptom: Indexing Takes Too Long

  • Large files or documents with many images take longer.
  • Network drive connection speed affects indexing time.
  • Start with smaller folders first, then gradually add more.

Retry Indexing

To retry indexing a folder, click the Refresh button in the Folder List.
